Going to Town

By using the boat peoples were going into town crossing the sea and the bay, and finding what they need in there. This is the usual phenomena in the remote area of Papua, Indonesia. Where the mangroves are still very high and fertile, as there are no environmental degradation caused by fishpond activities or shrimp fishery business. The nature is still pure and far from the touch of human interests that tend to destroy it. Keeping the nature as it is becomes the important duties of all of us.

A House Behind the Trees

Staying far from the crowd sometimes enjoyable for your privacy. While the danger of wild animal is still present, especially at night, one must recognize it as a way of life of some people who like it. But this is not true for these types of residents as they don't have the land or the ability to stay close to the crowd, they build their own houses close to the forest. They have just own their land in those places, which mean close to the jungle, where the wildlife is still close and ready to jeopardize their own family. The fisherman village of Irarutu 3 is very nice and quiet in the distance. While looking at the back of the crowded of mangroves and coconut trees, the village laid down in there. When the high tide is coming, the mud will be covered by the water. Although it is not a clear water of the river or the meeting between salty and plain water, as it comes from the land and the sea. The village is not also managed in regular arrangement and spread out accross the land behind this picture. What people need is a safe water to drink as the water might be has taste like salt and plain water itself. Beauty of Babo River

The beauty of Babo River is almost undeniable to us to say about it. With its warm climate during the day and cold in the night it will become our adventure to enjoy it while we are there. It is exactly what we know wherever we go in every part of the places near Babo River. Although the scenery is very exciting in the surface, there are potential danger inside the water. This danger comes from salt water crocodiles that are sometime have eight meters long. Some native peoples even had become the victim of those water inhabitants. It is recommended that you are not stand close to the water at the edge of the river, neither sitting or fishing in there. It will become your own risk if you do that at the river.
